We are a small family owned and operated shop in New Jersey. We are NOT some huge parts warehouse with dozens of employees. We have no employees other than family working here. We are also a shop that sells, installs, repairs, and maintains plows and other equipment. Due to the volume of calls and the workload in the shop and at the front counter, and shipping orders, we might not answer the phone. We urge you to use the Contact Us link on this site. WE ANSWER EVERY CONTACT via e mail. We will not call you. To be sure you get our reply, please add sales@smithbrothersservices.com and store_sales@smithbrothersplowparts.com to your address book, or "allow" list, or your e mail program might block our e mails to you!

Shipping Information:

USPS = United States Postal Service

UPS = United Parcel Service


We try to ship whatever we can via the US Postal Service (USPS) Priority Mail. YOU select the shipping method during check out, not us. Certain items it is not feasable or legal (oil and paint) to ship via USPS, and in that case the items are shipped United Parcel Service (UPS). If a customer chooses UPS, we use UPS. IF a customer chooses USPS Priority Mail, and they are buying oil or paint, WE ship via UPS, and we will send an invoice for the difference in shipping costs. We will not ship the order until payment is received for the difference in shipping cost. See the map below for the number of BUSINESS DAYS in transit when your order is being shipped via UPS. We offer UPS Ground, UPS Second Day Air, and UPS Next Day Air to the US only, we do not ship UPS International. Please note we also reserve the right to switch shipping methods when we think it is best to allow you to get your order faster. UPS is more reliable as far as transit time than the USPS especially around the holidays in December. Remember, the USPS and UPS are closed for many holidays we are open for. Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, MLK, and Presidents Day ALWAYS result in delays beyond our control.

Tracking

Your tracking number will be automatically emailed By USPS or UPS once your order is processed and shipped. Tracking numbers will not be available by phone and may only be requested via email. To request your tracking please email sales@smithbrothersplowparts.com subject "Tracking Number" and include your name and order number. Be sure to check your Junk Mail or SPAM Folder in your e mail program!




Processing Time

We strive to ship your order within 1 to 2 business days from receipt of payment; Monday through Friday excluding observed holidays and weekends. SmithBrothersPlowParts.com cannot be held liable for delayed shipments caused by an act of god, such as bad weather or any other event that we cannot control. If under some unusual circumstance your order takes longer than 48 hours to leave our warehouse we apologize, the number one reason would be a back ordered part. Please log in to your account because backorders are marked as such. Please note that while we keep a large inventory of parts, we do NOT stock every part we offer for sale at all times. As a small family owned business that is just not possible. IF you need a part ASAP please confirm it is in stock (via E MAIL) before ordering UPS Next Day Air, or Second Day Air. Orders shipping UPS must be received by us before 1PM Eastern Time. Please also note once a package leaves here, we have no control over how long it takes for you to receive it. IN SEASON we ship DAILY. During the off season (March - Sept.) we only ship once or twice a week depnding on sales volume.





USPS

USPS Priority Mail can take up to 7 business days to be delivered. The transit times of 1, 2 or 3 days as stated by the USPS depends on your local post office and is not guaranteed. Since USPS cannot be tracked in real time, sometimes tracking numbers will not be updated until the package reaches a major hub. USPS has been known to reuse their tracking numbers at times, so if the order is tracking incorrectly try re-tracking it at a later time. Often nothing is updated until the package has been delivered! We offer Priority Mail, and International Priority Mail (to Canada ONLY). We do not offer Express Mail. IF you want a more reliable method, choose UPS during check out.

Incorrect Address or Typo's

Smith Brothers Plow Parts will not be responsible for paying reshipping fees for errors that are no fault of our own. The customer is responsible for assuring that the shipping address on the order is correct. Any orders returned due to an address error such as an undeliverable address will be the responsibility of the customer to pay any reshipping fees. Please remember if YOU select UPS as the shipping method during check out, you MUST provide a physical address ie; NO PO BOXES!




Shipping Delays / Out of Stock Items

Shipping delays may be caused by natural disasters or errors made by a shipping company. A freight carrier may delay a shipment for reasons uncontrollable by us, therefore in the event of such a delay we cannot be held responsible. In order to ensure your order arrives promptly please insure that your shipping information is correct. In the event a shipment is returned due to an incorrect address provided by the customer the customer will be accountable for shipping costs. If an item is back order the order will be held in "Back Order" status and will be shipped immediately upon arrival. Back Orders are generally filled within 2-5 business days. If a back order is going to take longer to restock you will be notified via the email you provide. If no email was provided we will attempt to reach you by phone with the phone number on your account. Please note that att.net, sbcglobal.net and others owned by att have blacklisted our e mail address so we cannot e mail users with these e mail providers!




Damaged Item(s)

If your item(s) arrives damaged you must keep the box in original condition and contact us via email or phone within 2 business days. The shipping company may want to inspect the package to confirm the damages. Please take photos of the box before opening it! IF the order was shipped via UPS be sure to alert the driver to the damage. Please keep the original box and all packing materials so that we can file an insurance claim with the shipper. We will send out the replacement item(s) within 1-2 business days after receiving your notification provided the item is in stock. IF the item is not in stock it will ship as soon as it is available.


Return Policy:

NO RETURNS on electrical items, or obsolete parts.
All Other items must be returned to us in unused condition, in original packaging. Opened items in used/installed condition, cannot be returned. Returned items that are returned due to buyer remorse, or incorrect ordering by the customer, must be sent back at customer's expense, customer responsible for all shipping charges. All returned items must be returned within 10 days of purchase date. All shortage or incorrect parts received claims must be reported within 7 days of receiving order. NO RETURNS ON DVDs. NO RETURNS AFTER 10 DAYS. THERE WILL BE A 30% RESTOCKING FEE FOR ALL RETURNS.

We only charge Sales Tax on orders shipped to New Jersey addresses.

We have shipped parts to every State that gets snow, and some that people rarely think of when it comes to snow, such as New Mexico, Arizona, and California. Since we are constantly asked "where are you located".... We are located in Northern New Jersey. For those in NJ, we are not located in Somerset County, hence our 973 Area Code.... We ship UPS and USPS DAILY in season, and 2 times per week in the off season (March - Sept.).



IF your order is being shipped via UPS Ground, this map will show the number of BUSINESS DAYS in transit it will take for you to receive it. All orders being shipped via UPS MUST be received by us, and be paid for before 1:30 PM Eastern Time for your order to ship the same day, AND the parts MUST be IN STOCK.
